Depending on the source, anywhere from 60% to 90% of all e-mail these days is unsolicited spam.  Many of these message have malicious code embedded deep within the images of the e-mail and can be considered dangerous.

There is new technology to help you combat spam and one of them is Spam Arrest.  This is a very affordable subscription service that allows you to define who you wish to receive e-mail from; but also allows you to verify that legitimate email did not accidentally get deleted.

It is very user friendly and you can download a free trial from their website at:

http://www.spamarrest.com/

If you want to cut down on spam, check out their tutorial and see just how easy and affordable this service is.

  1. I had been a loyal and paying customer of Spamarrest for some time, recently their service has been erratic and I lost a number of important messages. After not receiving adequate support I decided to cancel my recently renewed account and asked for a refund of the unused portion. Here is their response:
    Hi David,

    Thanks once again.

David, I am very sorry to tell you that we are not able to offer you a refund for your account. You may continue to use your Spam Arrest account till 2008-10-01 by reactivating the account.

I truly apologize for your inconvenience, David. Please do let me know if you need anything else.

    Best Regards,

  2. David,

It’s unfortunate when a company will not try harder to please their customers. As an alternative, you might consider downloading a 30-free trial copy of “iHateSpam” from our products page at:

    http://www.pc-armor.com/products.asp

We have been using this product for about 5 years, even before Sunbelt purchased it, and we are happy to say it works beautifully! I think you will be happy to know that you can configure iHateSpam to place all of the emails it flags as spam in the “Deleted Items” folder; where you can review them BEFORE you permanently delete them. It is important to note that iHateSpam only works with Outlook 2000 and above (but not Outlook 2007) and Outlook Express 5 and above.

    Good luck!

    PC-Armor
